Northern Illinois University's oldest sports club — founded in 1977 — is recruiting new players now for the upcoming Spring season.
NIU Huskies Men's Club Lacrosse is a student-led program competing against other Universities across the midwest. Play hard on Saturday afternoon, drink some gatorade, take some advil and find a way to play on Sunday morning.
Lacrosse is the oldest sports club at Northern Illinois University, first established in 1977. Graham and Ethan Shap, former D3 defensive standouts at Augustana, hope to rebuild on decades of Huskies tradition, and we're excited to write the next chapter together.
This recruiting push is led by brothers Ethan Shap and Graham Shap — grad student‑athletes who played at Augustana University for their undergrads.
All current NIU students. Prior HS experience is recommended, but we'll take any former HS athletes.
Lacrosse is primarily a Spring sport. Optional workouts and scrimmages can take place in the Fall.
Helmet, gloves, shoulder pads, arm pads, stick, and cleats. We’ll share detailed guidelines after you sign up.
$50 Club dues.
